The renovation of this Victorian  house was completed in 2010. Small alterations to the plan allowed for a more open feeling of circulation on the ground floor as well as providing for a direct link between the kitchen and dining room. An additional stair was created from the second floor to the attic by carving out some ‘leftover’ space on the existing second floor. While the new kitchen is fairly traditional looking, other interventions are more modern. A new gas fired fireplace was fit into an existing coal fired fireplace and a new wood burning fireplace was surrounded by a custom marble and slate surround. The bathrooms feature clean new fixtures  The attic floor was structurally rebuilt to make all the space useful.  High Density Foam insulation was used to insulate the attic framing as well as the first floor.
